Mr. Peter Testen appointed new Chief Executive Officer of HERMES SoftLab
Ljubljana, 31 January 2005 – The Supervisory Board of HERMES SoftLab names Mr. Peter Testen as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of the Managing Board. Mr. Testen, who has been the Chairman of the Supervisory Board since November 2003, takes up the CEO role on April 1, 2005.
Mr. Peter Testen brings to the company many years of experience in Information Technology. He began his career with Hewlett Packard (HP) in 1970. He helped to pioneer HP’s entry into Eastern European and was appointed Business Development Manager for Yugoslavia in 1975. In the 1990s, he leveraged this exposure and drove HP’s expansion throughout the new market driven economies of Central and Eastern Europe.
During his tenure with HP, Mr. Testen contributed to many HP business areas. As General Manager and VP of International Sales Europe, Mr. Testen had regional responsibility for Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and helped to bring eminence to HP’s activities in many countries.
After the HP/Compaq merger, Mr. Testen led the newly established Services sales force in EMEA. Most recently, Mr. Testen was responsible for introducing HP’s new Sales and Marketing model to HP’s Consulting and Integration Organization.
Mr. Testen has chaired several Boards of Directors of HP companies.
Mr. Testen holds a degree in electronic engineering from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The second task will be focused on exploiting growth opportunities for HSL business lines, particularly in international markets.

With effect from April 1, 2005, the Managing Board of HERMES SoftLab will comprise three members; Peter Testen, President and CEO, Branka Jerše, Financial Director and Gregor Smrekar, Service Delivery Director.
