Our growing company is currently looking for Cyber Security Analyst.
The L1 Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analysing, and responding to security events and incidents within the Security Operations Center (SOC). This entry-level position is crucial for maintaining the security posture of the organization by providing the first line of defence against cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and events from various security tools and systems;
- Perform initial analysis and triage of security incidents to determine their severity and impact;
- Escalate incidents to higher-level analysts or management as necessary;
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of security incidents;
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents and actions taken;
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security policies and procedures;
- Participate in continuous training and development to stay current with cybersecurity trends and threats;
- Communicate with clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience);
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices;
- Knowledge of network protocols and operating systems;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift environment if required.
Additional:
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls);
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cybersecurity, CompTIA Security+, CEH);
- Experience with incident response and handling.
