Comtrade to debut at ArabHealth 2018 in Dubai
As one of nine companies representing the Slovenian healthcare sector, Comtrade will have its MENA debut at ArabHealth 2018, in late January. This foray beyond the Mediterranean is made easier by the Group’s new office, which opened in Dubai last year.
Comtrade thus launches its plan to carve a position as a supplier of healthcare solutions in these vibrant markets. Its 25-year portfolio of national, regional and European-level projects supports two attractive directions: one as a provider of national healthcare projects and the other as a developer of medical devices software.
Known as Southeast Europe’s most trusted developer of end-to-end technology products and solutions, Comtrade plans to attract to its booth in Dubai the representatives of healthcare institutions, as well as medical devices vendors looking for innovative software engineering partners.
At ArabHealth, Comtrade will present its modular Health Information System (HIS), which it has already tailored to 25 healthcare facilities in Europe. Covering all three levels of care, these implementations include some nation-wide e-health and m-health systems. Among its users is one of the largest military hospitals in the world, Serbia’s VMA in Belgrade.
Comtrade plans to demo its firmware for IVD diagnostic devices, developed in line with strict regulatory rules by its ISO 13485-certified medical division. This expertise, combined with the know-how of other company divisions, makes Comtrade a viable partner for launching innovative tele-health systems and initiatives concerning IoT.
Comtrade is keen to use its ArabHealth participation to explore opportunities in MENA health markets, whose value is expected to reach USD$144 billion over the next two years.
Several factors converge to make this area particularly attractive to Comtrade. National governments compete in their efforts to match world-class standards with healthcare given to residents. Demographic changes bring about new health-related challenges. And forward-looking leaders create conditions for bringing to the region technological breakthroughs such as 3D printing, smart wearables and advanced implements.
However, these trends can also incur high costs, uncertainties and tensions, especially against a background of sub-standard healthcare services and poor infrastructure present in some markets. This is a fusion of factors that Comtrade is well poised to solve, having experience with Southeast European markets, where irregular funding, devastation of infrastructure and lasting poverty are often present.
Between January 29 and February 1, the address of Slovenia pavilion at ArabHealth 2018 and of Comtrade’s booth within it is Z1.B10. Meet us there!
